Billy Mckenna Billy Mckenna

Head Coach and Technical Director

bmckenna@winstarssoccer.com

Billy McKenna comes to us with experience at most, if not all levels of the game from club to NTCO to the W. League.

He played at a good level both in the U.K. and here in Canada and caught the coaching bug approximately thirty years ago and since then he has worked very successfully with both male and female athletes where he has won National Championships with both genders. Several past and present, again both male and female, National Team players came under Billy's tutiledge on their way through the development ranks. Many of these players were also, through hard work and discipline, ortunate to be awarded Academic/Athletic Scholarships in the U.S. College Systems.

He is presently the Head Coach/Technical Director of Stoney Creek Soccer Club where he is focussed on the implementation of the LTPD Program as well as working with the Winstars Academy.

Interest: Soccer has always been a passion of mine ever since I was a little kid. Growing up I played soccer for 5 year with the at the CSL level. Not only did I enjoy playing soccer but watching and coaching it was a passion of mine that I always had. Not being able to succeed in playing soccer didn’t stop me from helping others to go as far as they can, The Winstars Soccer Academy have gladly taken me under their wing to help out with getting all of our players Scholarships and a successful career. My passion is to push all the players to become even better then what they already are and to have a successful career ahead of them. The motto that I follow is the one of the company I work for “impossible is nothing” and it is true anyone can do anything if you put your mind
